AIBU to have gone off tom hiddleston?

Now of course i have never actually met the man so all this is based on my previous fantasy view of him... but I've gone off him a bit since the Taylor Swift thing. The release of Kong Island would previously have seen me sneaking off one afternoon for a droolfest but now I'm a bit meh. Do I just need to watch the night manager again?

I like watching him on film.

And as an abstract concept, I like him very much.

It's when he opens his mouth to articulate anything that isn't pre-scripted, I do not like him.

TabascoToastie · 22/06/2017 10:37

He's a lovely man in person just so needy!

ShesNoNormanPace · 22/06/2017 11:29

I think Butchy has articulated my thoughts exactly. Except I prefer him in silent gif form. The TS thing was just so, so bad.

LaurieFairyCake · 22/06/2017 11:33

I think in general that it's best to take artists on what they produce rather than their lifestyle portrayed.

Gary Glitter, Rolf Harris and Roman Polanski not withstanding.

Tazerface · 22/06/2017 11:33

Yes I agree with Butchy too.

witsender · 22/06/2017 11:34

I'll enjoy him as Loki. That's about it.b

2014newme · 22/06/2017 11:36

He's blown his bond chances with Taylor and then tgat dire speech

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 22/06/2017 11:38

I find him deeply unattractive. He's always trying so hard! That said I've not seen him as Loki.

I have seen him in Wallander with Ken Brannagh. That really sealed it for me. Terrible hair and his character was a bit of a needy pita.

Iwasjustabouttosaythat · 22/06/2017 11:45

I never particularly liked him but I actually dislike him now. He comes across as a weird combination of smug and defensive. Seems like he'd be really precious.

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 22/06/2017 11:48

Yeah. He's a smug, try hard.

Deeply unsexy.

NancyDonahue · 22/06/2017 11:55

The Taylor Swift thing was bad enough, but the cringey 'try hard' photos of him in his undies put me off him completely.

NancyDonahue · 22/06/2017 11:56

Case closed.

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 22/06/2017 11:59

Omg. I am inside out with embarrassment on his behalf!

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 22/06/2017 12:00

It's over for me isn't it? Oh well I'll always have Aiden Turner

I also found him a bit uncomfortable to watch. He reminds me of Alan Cumming in Circle of Friends.

TieGrr · 22/06/2017 12:04

*also

should be always

BeWaterMyFriend · 22/06/2017 12:06

Needy isn't really a problem for me, I like a man who's eager to please Grin
And TH has 'eager' written all over him. I grant that may not be everyone's cup of tea.

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 22/06/2017 12:07

You say 'eager', I say desperate... potato, po-tar-to Grin

NancyDonahue · 22/06/2017 12:08

Aiden turner is lovely but it's got to be Tom Hardy for me 😍

flownthecoopkiwi · 22/06/2017 12:09

I like eager and needy in a puppy....not so much in men.

Not sure why. May need psychoanalysis
