Hi everyone!

Stopping by to share mine, and ask about your favourite / best value budget makeup, the likes of Rimmel, Wet 'n' Wild, Natural collection, catrice, etc pharmacy makeup that doesn't break the bank!

Although sometimes I find little gems! Many of them recommended by really good makeup artists who use quality products.

My favourites at the moment:

Catrice cosmetic concealer (Really cheap for what it's worth, about 5 euro! best concealer out there under 10 euro

All the Rimmel eyebrow pencils, cheap at around 6 euro

Lidl self tanning cream! 1.49 and you just treat it like moisturiser, no streaky fake tan and everyday you have a nice olive glow!

Inglot is almost as good as MAC, even on par... Inglot eyeshadow a single colour is only something like 6 euro! and they are suuuch good quality and really stand out.

Anyone else got others they'd like to share? Some products you feel are excellent value/quality especially for the price?

I hate buying expensive makeup!

Rimmel: SuperStay foundation is very good. Full coverage that lasts all day. And it really does.
Just not in this weather!

Poppins2016 · 22/06/2017 01:18

Revlon foundation is great.

I agree that Inglot is good stuff!

Rimmel waterproof eyeliner and mascara.
Pound shop waterproof mascara is as good as the Rimmel, but the brush isnt as good.
the Pound shops also have end of line stiff from the big brands, I like Revlon nail polish and normally wouldnt be able to afford it.

Essence in Wilkos.

sysysysref · 22/06/2017 09:22

I've used Rommel Hide The Blemish since I was about 14, and I'm 43 now. No other cover up comes close

Grenada12 · 22/06/2017 09:28

Use Rimmel . Can anyone tell me if they test on animals though?
I would change if they do ..

SheGotOffThePlane · 22/06/2017 09:31

I've just found Olivia Hale stuff in my local Home Bargains. It's all 99p - I've only tried the eyebrow pencil and primer but it seems worth the money Grin

I've got a nail polish waiting to be tried so I'll report back.

Grenada12 Rimmel don't test on animals. Also that been illegal in the UK since the last Labour govt, and the ban went EU wide in 2013.

''Since March 2013, it has also been illegal to sell cosmetics products within the EU which have been, or which contain ingredients, newly tested on animals.''

YABU.

Tazerface · 22/06/2017 15:10

OP - ask HQ to put this in Style and Beauty or even Chat won't you?

I love essence nail polishes (haven't tried much of their other stuff).

Are you in Ireland? I don't know where to get Wet n Wild here (or Catrice) and it's all over the place as a great budget option.

EJREsMum · 22/06/2017 15:16

I've found that Makeup Revolution powders are really pigmented

shinynewusername · 22/06/2017 15:19

I've used Rimmel Hide The Blemish since I was about 14

Me too. It's too thick for under the eyes but amazing anywhere else.

Collection 2000 undereye brightener is great.

clairethewitch70 · 22/06/2017 15:19

I love ELF products, especially eye products and Kiko lip pencils/lipsticks. Both long lasting and good value.

QueenofallIsee · 22/06/2017 15:21

Makeup Revolution all the way - excellent quality powders, great brushes and their strobe pallets are excellent. Always good freebies as well

LakieLady · 22/06/2017 15:36

Natural Collection are great for matt eye shadows, and Rimmel's BB cream is as good as any at twice the price better than most.
