Accidentally froze my DD's antibiotics
Raisinsaretoddlercrack · 20/06/2017 23:34
I'm abroad on holiday and my DD has developed tonsillitis with a fever. We took her to the doctors and got her some antibiotics but the fridge in the room was set too cold and the solution has frozen to a thick slush consistency.
It's difficult but not impossible to accurately measure the dose and also I'm concerned that it might not be as effective due to having been frozen. I've had a quick Google (WiFi not great here) and can't find a clear answer. Can anyone help? I'm not confident I could explain this to a pharmacist as my Spanish isn't great! Thanks

Try one of these numbers listed here www.gsk.com/en-gb/contact-us/customerspatients/
Or talk to the pharmacist.
It would be better to talk to a professional.

Poor little button :( poorly on holiday, do hope she is better soon i froze my sons amoxycillin once, accidentally, all one side of it that was stuck against the back of the fridge- i missed one dose until it had thawed, gave it a good shake and carried on, he started responding to it like normal and was ok- good luck, hoping all goes well.
