To ask how non-Muslims can show solidarity with Muslims?

I grew up in an area with a sizeable Muslim population. They were/are our neighbours, friends, schoolmates and colleagues. I like to think I show solidarity by just, well, acting like a normal person.

But something in me wants to reach out somehow and say: we're with you. We won't let them divide us. Islamophobes are bullies and the way you take down a bully is to vocally outnumber them and show them up for the tiny minority they are.

I make a effort to report islamophobic comments on Facebook (with very little success - am always told it doesn't 'break their community standards' - what does?!?.)

What else can we do if anything?

One poster on here is taking a cake to her local Mosque...you could write a card to yours? Just mention that you wish to show support to the Muslim community in this difficult time.
