Neighbour BLASTING music

Next door but one has been playing the fast food song and various remixes of this song on repeat for about 20 minutes. It is so loud we can hear it from our living room. If we were to blast music, being in our mid twenties, we'd get complaints. But because she's in her 70s, it seems like everyone is leaving her to it?!

As I speak she's just put it on for the 6th/7th time.

WIBU to go and ask her to turn it down/pick another bloody song? I know it's the middle of the day but I feel like I'm losing my mind!

The fast food song?! Grin
No, YANBU if it is that loud. Ask her to turn it down.

DestinationSofa · 17/06/2017 13:55

A Pizza Hut a Pizza Hut

PenSylvester · 17/06/2017 13:56

Yes! I wish I could attach the videos I've taken, I can't even explain how loud it is. I didn't even imagine there were that many remixes of it Confused

OMG how have I never heard that song?
That's epic.

70's isn't that old, is it? I'd ask her to pipe it down!

VerityHabitat · 17/06/2017 13:57

Does she have visitors - grandchildren maybe who are playing it?

PenSylvester · 17/06/2017 13:58

No visitors, just her trimming the hedges... doesn't have grandchildren as far as I've seen in the five years I've lived here. Just bizarre...

Is she all right? She's not doing it to get someone's attention because she's been taken ill but can't get to her door or something?

Or she could just be very inconsiderate.

Either way, go round OP and speak to her.

ExcuseMyEyebrows · 17/06/2017 14:02

Oh sorry OP, x post - she's obviously ok then. That would drive me insane!

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 17/06/2017 14:03

You could always blast out the London Underground song.

ijustwannadance · 17/06/2017 14:07

Retaliate with the Vengaboys

TheWitTank · 17/06/2017 14:09

Or Cotton Eye Joe

PenSylvester · 17/06/2017 14:09

I think ndn may have had a word because it's a bit quieter now (can still hear it though) and it's back to her usual country music. Loving the retaliation suggestions Grin

Battle of the stereos. Get on YouTube and put some filthy base on lol

SaucyJack · 17/06/2017 14:18

Strange choice of music for anyone over the age of 6.

Did anyone have a party/BBQ last night? I'd bet my last Wispa she's making a PA dig at someone.

PenSylvester · 17/06/2017 14:22

No parties afaik. We're a fairly quiet little road so this is an extraordinary event.

Maybe she was learning the dance routine to do at her OAP dance Grin

specialsubject · 17/06/2017 15:50

Yes, the London underground song...

Really, go round and ask her to turn it off. Music should not be heard outside her property. There are wonderful things called headphones.
