Child free for the first night in 4 years

OK so posting here for traffic.. This weekend could be our first night without the kids since July 2012 aside from our wedding.

Oldest son has autism and we have a terrible 2 year old

Struggling for ideas I suggested a nice meal and relax but my wife said about the Stone Roses concert at Wembley. Its about 140 miles to drive so I looked at hotel prices.. £200 minimum. It would be a nice break away but I think maybe it's too far.

Any body care to share what that would do or do do in my situation? We live in the north of Staffordshire/Cheshire area

my husband and I have a child free Saturday this week. We're going to the theatre for a 4pm showing followed by cocktails and dinner. I can't bloody wait.

I bet you're so excited!

I think you'll enjoy it no matter what you do in the end, it's more about spending quality time together Wink

I've no idea but I hope you both have a lovely time

Looks like not going go to be going the stone Roses. Cant justify the money + along way from home. Wife suggested Alton towers although on a Saturday I imagine it would be rather busy. We're not used to this scenario

super off peak train ticket from crewe to london ( your areaish i guess) is £30 return each

london hounslow travelodge £75 (6 miles from wembley)

and you get to go to stone roses

just as an example- you can do it if you really want
