We've been dragged to the polls 3 times in just over 2 years. Should the current minority Govt just be allowed to try to make it work without continual questions about yet another GE?

In Scotland it is 6 times in 3 years. YADNBU!

It doesn't really work like that. The government has to function and if they can't get any votes through, they can't function, which means they need to go back to the polls.

I am looking forward to another election in the next 6 months, and think it will be a real game changer for this country.

I think it is fabulous that young people are engaging with politics. But I do worry about voter fatigue. Also will the plan to reduce the number of MPs to 600 now go ahead?? I understood it was thought to favour the Tories so will Labour put the kibosh on the idea?

Well yeah, of course it doesn't work like that - but it is all getting a bit silly...

We have had 3 big votes in 3 years.

We have narrowly escaped the British left making us just hold the referendum again and again until we "get it right", and now we risk another general election for the second time in a year!

Do these people not understand? It is time for politicians to now bugger off and let us all get on with our jobs while they do theirs.

If the Conservative Party manage to backstab their own government out of existence when all the cards are in their hands I will be hard pressed to vote for them again. They will have demonstrated that they are more hassle than they are worth.

Yes the media are out for their blood, yes Corbyn is too, bloody obviously because they see it as their jobs.

Well the ability to just carry on isn't really in the Tory's gift at present. Under the Fixed Term Parliaments Act, if May's Queen Speech gets voted down and Corbyn can't get his through in the next two weeks then Parliament automatically dissolves and we have another GE.

And seeing as the DUP haven't yet agreed to anything, at present it's not certain how things will go with the Queen's Speech. I think the DUP are very unlikely not to vote for it, but in a hung Parliament nothing is guaranteed.

But the maths are not quite as tight as everyone keeps saying. The Sinn Fein MPs - 7 of them never take their seats in Parliament. Also if the Tory whips do their job properly then ALL the other parties have got to ensure that pretty well all their MPs are at every vote to vote anything down. I think that if the Tories really do not want to hand the keys to No 10 to Corbyn then they MAY be minded to toe the line and stop silly chatter about a party leadership change at this time.

I'd welcome another election.

Missing the point that does depend on no one being ill/ otherwise unable to vote. It also assumes that all Tory MPs will be happy to vote in kind of partnership with the DUP, and some may not, if they get a lot of heat from their constituents, especially if they are in a marginal seat and think they may lose votes for it. There's already big email campaigns going on this.

I worry about voter fatigue as well. I think if they get the Queen's Speech through then there will be a general election when the Tories choose a new leader. They won't want to drag on for five years having to bribe the DUP at every vote. They'll want to consolidate their power, so they'll wait for Labour to come down from this wave of enthusiasm, get a better leader in place and take us all to the polls again.
