AIBU to make him move the blind clip

DH has just spent the morning putting up a lovely new blackout blind in DD's room. It came with a cord clip which he had put half way up. I'm not happy as there's lots of loose cord about at the bottom that DD could strangle herself with but he's refusing to move it. Our house is old and wonky and it took him ages to get it drilled into the brick where it is as it quite a confined space. He thinks it will be fine... who is BU?

Get your dtill out and move it. How old is dd?

Jellybean85 · 10/06/2017 13:26

Are you sure you need to
Move the clip? We trimmed our cord so there was no spare dangling and put the decorative end bit back on?

Lucked · 10/06/2017 13:29

Ca you put in an easy screw in hook like this high up and hook it the spare cord up?

specialsubject · 10/06/2017 13:45

shorten the cord - easier than a nightmare drilling job. For now , get a clothes peg and secure it high up.

This is a hazard and needs to be sorted now.

Cut it

CaulkheadUpNorf · 10/06/2017 14:51

I'd move it myself but if that's not an option then shorten it by cutting

Guiltypleasures001 · 10/06/2017 14:52

Cut it and knot the ends but do it real soon

Lj8893 · 10/06/2017 14:54

It needs to be sorted. Could you cut the excess cord?

It will be a pain to redo it but if there's no other options and your dh won't do it can't you do it yourself?
