If you voted tactically against the Tories, are you still happy that you did or are you regretting doing so

Now that we have got the result thats a hung parliament and a partnership with the DUP.

Just wondering if with hindsight you would change your vote

Anyone?

LRDtheFeministDragon · 09/06/2017 22:30

Very pleased.

We were in an area that was predicted to be very close Lib/Lab. I honestly think the Lib Dem candidate is the better local politician and the nicer person, and right up to the election I kept wavering. But I voted Labour and obviously now I am very glad I did. In the event there was a huge swing to Labour here.

All of these votes set the tone for the next election. It's wonderful to think that there's a real Labour opposition now.

Tactically voted lib dem to help stop the Tory. Also our MP has been doing a great job here for ages, he's really solid-Tom Brake. Couldn't give a shit about the hung parliament. It'll be over soon.

I didn't vote tactically but I would rather have had a Conservative (or any major party) majority than a coalition, especially one with the DUP. I think the protest and tactical voters have put us in a weaker position and the worst possible outcome.

Very pleased. Gave a lengthy answer why on this thread.

I voted tactically. I'm very pleased with the result. The DUP are wankers. But they were wankers last week too, and they've always sided with the conservatives so nothing has really changed thatuch.

Birdsbeesandtrees · 09/06/2017 22:53

I don't vote tactically but yes I am pleased.

May and the tories are undermined, Labour have done well and the DUP while disgusting are unlikely to be very influential except perhaps in the case of soft vs hard Brexit in which case I feel that a soft Brexit is by far the best Brexit outcome.

A frikkin' disaster.

The Corbynites who believed all his shit, have destabilised the economy, and caused ructions, and all that's going to happen now is a bigoted party joining forces with the Tories.

Well done.

Be careful what you wish for.
