Looking at the in-house conversations, they're bellowing foul abuse today...

pig headed. Won't listen to advice. Doesn't engage with the voters. Poor showing on TV. Calling the election was a stupid idea. Dementia Tax fiasco. Pensioners Winter fuel voteloser. Unquantified policies. Croneyism. Woodenheaded robot. Wasting time and delaying Brexit talks. ""I don't think she has the skills set. She doesn't engage with people. Her judgements are fallible"."
"The party had been heading for a "very, very big majority" but "our own campaign was hijacked by ourselves" so instead of talking about Brexit and the economy, the Tories were talking about social care and pensioners' winter fuel payments and cancelling school meals and fox hunting."

All the things they denied during the campaign.

From a Conservative chatsite:

Cchq has long needed a clear out of the two-faced weasels that occupy it who wouldnt know a voter if they fell over him in the street

There are people on the candidates list who I wouldnt let stand at the bus stop, whilst excellent candidates have been culled.

I have friends who have told me that they think that many of the staffers aren't even Conservatives!

"She must go.

We have just been through an unnecessary 6 week slog defending the worst manifesto I have seen in 40 years.

May out today please, and take McLoughlin, Nick Timothy and Lynton Crosby with you."

"Is it at all conceivable that there are some conservatives with a grain of sense left and who understand you cannot stick two fingers up at 48% of the country ? "

"The gibbets are out. Abdication at 10.00am or regicide (it’s what we do)."

"Petty, vindictive, controlling, secretive, cold, no personality, economically illiterate, basically stupid."

"This was in large part a verdict on Theresa May's version of "Hard Brexit" it is now likely we will remain in the EEA and might well have a second referendum. "

"ExToryAgent · 1 hour ago

May has to go. She failed to get a mandate for her version of Brexit. The Party now has to go back to the drawing board on Brexit. The young were against Brexit and now they are voting. If that fact is ignored, we will have a Corbyn Government before the end of this year."

Hooray for the young, say I

"Hope we never again have such a negative campaign. The public just don't want US-style attack politics

Is this particularly rude. Sounds like a no-nonsense post mortem, yes, but it's hardly an great example of outrageous rudeness.

PigletJohn · 09/06/2017 12:48

yes, that one is just a criticism of the tory campaign by a tory, 24 hours after the tories were denying negative campaigning.

Portraying your opponent as a terrorism supporter was never going to play well.

Actually that describes quite a few of your quotes.

It's not exactly a shock that there are some strong words in the inquest to a very disappointing election result. I very much doubt the Labour inquest two years ago was all sweetness and light.

Perhaps I'm missing your point.
