Anyone else unable to sleep tonight?

I have work in the morning, as I'm sure most of us do. Is anyone else still awake and watching the election results? I can't switch off the tv or my brain.

Me too - I keep getting up to go to bed and getting caught up...

jajabonks · 09/06/2017 02:31

Yep
I know if I went to bed I wouldn't be able to sleep

thesqueezedlemon · 09/06/2017 02:32

I think if I stay awake much longer I may have to pull an all nighter as I'll never get up tomorrow.

I'm in bed watching the news on the iPad.

metspengler · 09/06/2017 02:34

Yeh, I'm awake and watching the results too. Might have to give up and pass out soon or work tomorrow could get pretty tough.

CakeNinja · 09/06/2017 02:34

Me. Came downstairs a couple of hours ago to leave DP ago sleep in peace. Made a deal with myself to be in bed by 2am at the latest...

Brandnewstart · 09/06/2017 02:34

I'm watching it but I'm not working tomorrow. Feel sorry for all you poor people who are but is is so bloody gripping!!

Grilledaubergines · 09/06/2017 02:36

I didn't go too bed. I decided it was an occasion for 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, beans, 2 toast and a cup of tea at midnight. . It's the stress.

thesqueezedlemon · 09/06/2017 02:36

Why is polling day always on a thursday? Why can't it be on a Friday and we can stay up all night on the wine watching the results guilt free

Peachypie83 · 09/06/2017 02:36

I'm awake but only because my newborn insists on it 😂 election results are definitely keeping me occupied though

Grilledaubergines · 09/06/2017 02:36

HarrietKettleWasHere · 09/06/2017 02:36

I have to get up for work at 6:30. Thinking what's the point in going to bed now..

thesqueezedlemon · 09/06/2017 02:37

Haha yes I also gave myself a 2am deadline. It's coming upto 3!

OP posts:
QueenLaBeefah · 09/06/2017 02:37

I'm awake but only because DH is having a snore-a-thon.

MaidOfStars · 09/06/2017 02:38

Thursdays because we used to get paid on Fridays, so we're poor on Thursdays, therefore less likely to vote pissed.

UterusUterusGhali · 09/06/2017 02:39

Me.

Got into bed just before ten.
Heard the exit polls- that's me now for the night. :(

CakeNinja · 09/06/2017 02:39

Bit like how pubs don't open until 12pm on a Sunday so that people would be more likely to go to church instead of straight to the battle cruiser Grin

Domino20 · 09/06/2017 02:51

I can't sleep until my constituency declares!..... c'mon, count faster!

thesqueezedlemon · 09/06/2017 02:53

Mine apparently declares anytime between 3-5am. Ugh.

OP posts:
agnes2016 · 09/06/2017 02:53

I have work tomorrow but only 5 hours.

Domino20 · 09/06/2017 02:58

Brilliant gaff by Kuenssberg 're-cunt' 😁

CakeNinja · 09/06/2017 02:59

I want the Hastings result! Rudd out please.
I can't stay up much longer as I know myself too well, if I go later than 3, i'll reason with myself that i may aswell stay up. And I can't. I really can't. I have a long and important day tomorrow Sad

OuchBollocks · 09/06/2017 03:00

I got a bit of sleep but dreamed about election results (and the row I had with 'D'H. Baby needed fed at 1 & 2.30, can't see me getting back to sleep.

When I checked the referendum results in the night, Remain was ahead. When I checked the US elections in the night Hillary was ahead.
What turnaround will be waiting for me by 7am?

DarkFloodRises · 09/06/2017 03:05

Me. Trying to sleep but failing.
