I'm at the end of my tether with some very vocal racist relatives of mine and I just don't know what the best course of action is.
They are my cousins and it would be very awkward if we fell out, but I have always thought I would be the type of person who would stand up when I saw something that was wrong.
We have always known that we are at opposite ends of the political spectrum but just don't talk about it, they have always posted Britain first memes and suchlike but recently they have been posting extreme right wing videos and have reffered to muslims as 'goat fuckers' and have repeatedly said that they should kill everyone linked to a terrorist including their children. I have reported the posts but I haven't commented on them as I don't think it would end well. I would have no problem at all with just cutting them out of my life but it would make my elderly grandma very upset if we fell out and I have a sneaky suspicion that she would class me as a trouble maker and take their side. (Also my grandma likes and shares their less extreme but still shocking posts which breaks my heart)
I am torn between just unfollowing them all and pretending I've never seen that side of them, and sticking to my principles and standing up to them even if it causes a family rift.
Maybe this more of a wwyd
