to miss my old job?

I left a job 6 years ago and I still want to go back. I've had 3 jobs ever since that have never matched that job. In subsequent jobs the staff tend to be bitchy and the jobs are boring.

I suppose by now the team will have moved on and it's not realistic for me to go back ie couldn't do wage drop or work weekends now how do I get over it?

Everyone will have moved on. You are only stuck in this nostalgic thinking because you are unhappy there must have been horrible things about your old job too. You just can't remember them because you don't enjoy this one. Get yourself a new job

My husband went back to an old job after 13 years! He did a mat leave cover, enjoyed it and applied for a permanent job. He's been back for 11 years now.

I guess I felt accepted there. I can't get a new job at the mo as I'm pregnant. Guess I've made my bed

I completely understand reminiscing about a job you used to have, however as you need to stay where you are for the minute, why not start planning for the future instead? Maybe meet with a careers adviser to explore other career options, retraining whilst on mat leave, or volunteering in a completely different area to get experience to then build a different career once mat leave is over? Whatever you decide, you've got an ace baby to meet first. Good luck Wink
