Tattoo and work place

Hi!
I was wondering your opinions about not covering a tattoo when you're at work. I have a quite large one on my back and a small one on my wrist. I don't mind covering them as I work in a quite well known law firm and for some reason I don't find it appropriate. The wrist tattoo is small and if I wear 3/4 sleeves it shows and the back tattoo no one ever saw. But it's been so hot lately and my colegues are wearing lovely dresses and tops whilst I'm wearing high neck blouses :( I've got some tops that are suitable for work but it would show a bit of my back tatto (I've got short hair). Even though I work with lawyers I'm in a clerk role so I don't deal with clients. Do you think I'm being silly? I've been working there for nearly one month and I don't want to give the wrong impression :/

The second dress isn't really as professional as the first anyway imho. Law tends to be a bit old fashioned when it comes to these things, it still pays to look professional and smart and some tattoos really don't look particularly smart. Use make complete cover makeup on the one on your arms with fixing spray over it to hold it and choose smart professional dresses that cover your back. You don't have to swelter just because of them.

As someone with visible tattoos I would say it's too soon. Although a tiny bit of leaf showing probably wouldn't be noticeable and you could have a light jacket that matches when you need to move around the office/meet someone to hide it.

While people need to catch up with the times that a bit of ink doesn't mean you're rebellious and bad news, it's still a view point, especially in a corporate setting.

What about some smart,light, chiffon(non see through) blouses?
