I'm starting to get rather pissed off!

Dp works in media and records a podcast with some like minded friends. Problem Is, he does it from our bedroom-cum-office on a Monday. Its the second day of 13 hour shifts with another one tomorrow with a 7am start and I want to to to bed, but it's 22.12 and they're still going strong. I've told dp I don't mind him doing it on another night, but Mondays are especially tiring as I still have another day to go, but he says that it's the only evening they can do it. He doesn't want to do it downstairs because apparently the acoustics aren't right aibu here? I can't even have a fecking shower until they're done because it's right next to the bedroom!

Don't his friends have somewhere they could use?

He needs to find somewhere else to do it.I'd be pissed off too.

I wouldn't put up with this. This isn't fair on you. You clearly can't even settle in your own home, which isn't right. Get a shower if you want one, and if you want to go to bed, he will have to stop what he's doing. 13 hours at a time, and stoping you from doing things in your own home isn't on. Please don't put up with this.

If he's so bothered about doing these podcasts, tell him to go somewhere else. Or at least cut them down to shortened times.

Get into your pyjamas and go to bed. Tip toe about in an exaggerated manner and get into bed and toss and turn. He will be so embarrassed he will never invite his friends into his bedroom again. Or you could totally freak the lot out by bursting into the room dressed in leather and asking who wants a whipping first

And I bet he sleeps in later than you do so make sure you don't tip toe about!!

Wtaf. Just no. This is your bedroom and you are being prevented from going to bed after a 13 hour shift. Your need to sleep trumps a bloody podcast. I am seething on your behalf. Why cant they do this elsewhere?

Do it anyway - have a shower/go to bed/whatever else.

He only does it cause you're letting him get away with it.

Tell them that you are going to bed and they will have to wrap it up or take it elsewhere. Do this in front of his friends. If he resists then suggest a hotelroom. If he still resists kick his friends out of the house.

My DP does a podcast - I assume the mates are not in your bedroom, but down the line? Unless it goes out live, he can edit out acoustic issues. DP does his in our spare room which is opposite the living room - if it wasn't edited I'm sure the listeners would hear me clomping about on the wooden floors as I trip back and forth to the kitchen.

Why are people assuming that there's anyone else physically there? Most podcasts are recorded over Skype.

Ha ha! It's probably us oldies assuming they are there but you are right that doesn't make sense!!
