Sure, she's annoying, but unless you've lived through a 6yo boy's fascination with Power Rangers, you DON'T KNOW what annoying IS.

I give you:

  • Shockingly bad acting.
  • Ridiculous writing.
  • Awful costume design.
  • Dire SFX.
  • IT IS SO FUCKING LOUD
Angry

IANBU.

Go go power rangers...!

WinnerWinnerChickenDinner0 · 19/05/2017 07:28

Oh god, please don't tell me there is worse than Peppa pig to come Gin

ThisisMrsNicolaHicklin · 19/05/2017 07:30

I hate the Power Rangers, it's so pointlessly violent. We banned them after DS broke the coffee table while playing at Power Rangers.
The pig is bloody annoying but she's not wrecked any furniture (yet)

WhenTheDragonsCame · 19/05/2017 07:40

I think my 6 year old DD3 has watched every episode of power rangers on Netflix! Some of the series are just about bearable but some are just awful! Is seems the later it was made the worse it is.

Rinkydinkypink · 19/05/2017 07:41

I bloody hate the sodding power rangers. Always have.

Tidypidy · 19/05/2017 07:43

You haven't seen Paw Patrol then?

bigkidsdidit · 19/05/2017 07:45

It's fucking awful. Far worse than paw patrol or peppa.

WHY DONT THEY JUST KILL THE FUCKING BADDIES AND BE DONE WITH IT

They could do with a few more girl rangers too

Hoppinggreen · 19/05/2017 07:47

I love Power Rangers ( apart from the fact that the pink Ranger wears a skirt) but only the original one - the more recent ones are a bit crap.
I find myself shouting at the screen " morph into one great big thing NOW rather than when you are losing, you will end up doing it anyway!!!"

Phillipa12 · 19/05/2017 07:49

Koda and Riley are very easy on the eye though 😂

MrsBadger · 19/05/2017 07:52

I have a sneaking fondness for the Samurai ones. They have a strong moral compass and a good work/training/teamwork ethic, which is more than you can say for much non-beebies programmes, and I hear it coming through in the dc's renditions of it.

memyselfandaye · 19/05/2017 07:54

Go and wash your mouths out!

My 6yr old is also a huge Power Rangers fan and I don't mind it either, I also kinda love the mechandise, although it's so expensive I plan on keeping it until I'm old and using it to fund any care I may need.

Nothing can be as annoying as fucking Let's Play, Rebecca gets right on my tits.

PhyllisNights · 19/05/2017 08:00

And here lies the problem, Power Rangers isn't suitable for 6 year olds. You need to wait until they're older. The Japanese footage they insert is too violent. Children me up mimicking it and hurt themselves or another child.

For what it's worth, In Space and Time Force are well written. When they're old enough, have them watch Time Force and they can explore the themes of mortality & destiny.

Ohb0llocks · 19/05/2017 08:13

Power rangers DINO CHARGEEEEEEEE

EdmundCleverClogs · 19/05/2017 08:19

I hated Power Rangers as a child. Unfortunately, my partner has always loved it, and I know will be fully encouraging our child to watch it. At least I can giggle at the bad acting these days!

As for it being 'violent', I grew up watching Animals of Farthing Wood, and I'm relatively unharmed by it. It was like a prequel to Game of Thrones at times!

Sunshinesuperman · 19/05/2017 08:22

You are not wrong. I actually miss peppy pig, goes off to hide.

Sunshinesuperman · 19/05/2017 08:22

Peppa damm auto correct!

angryladyboobs · 19/05/2017 08:50

Nothing is worse than peppa fucking pig. NOTHING I TELL YOU!!!!

Allthebestnamesareused · 19/05/2017 08:51

Ah but Power Rangers falls in the so bad its quite good category!

Went through it in phase one (DS is now 25!)

littlehandcuffs · 19/05/2017 08:56

I went to see the new Power Rangers movie a few weeks ago.....at the cinema.....I paid good money to see it : ) Go go Power Rangers!

memyselfandaye · 19/05/2017 08:56

Ohb0llocks

Engage
Activate

I may or may not be wearing my 6yr olds talking red ranger mask and high kicking whilst typing this.

Justtwoweeks · 19/05/2017 08:59

YABU. I have been through both. Peppa wins not only because she is a total twat and tells my children to behave like total twats but mainly because the animation IMO is the most hideous thing I have seen in my whole life. I would sooner have a whole bedroom in floor to ceiling power rangers than have one Peppa pig t shirt.

ForthemanyNotthefew · 19/05/2017 08:59

Yanbu.

42andcounting · 19/05/2017 09:03

Your question is like saying "would you rather have to poo out of your mouth or eat with your bum?". They are both equally awful Confused. Never thought I'd miss the My Little Pony obsession......

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 19/05/2017 09:07

I grew up watching Animals of Farthing Wood, and I'm relatively unharmed by it. It was like a prequel to Game of Thrones at times!

Haha this is so true Grin

Nonibaloni · 19/05/2017 09:09

I try and and engage DS in discussions about the continuity errors - they first morph in white body suits, then black then their ranger outfits. Are they wearing it all under their clothes? Also why aren't they the same shape once they're morphed?

Then I worked out it's because they film one load of marshal arts specialists and use it in every country's version.

Also how old are they? Where do they live?

Apparently I just don't get it.
