To think I'm never going to get used to leaving him

6 month old DS has done one day at the childminders so far. I'm on a phased return to work so he will be going at least once a week now building up to 3 days per week.

I'm paranoid that a stampede of older kids are going to trample him. Or that he is going to find some small object and choke on it. Or that he will pull the TV unit on himself and be crushed.

Please tell me it gets easier?!

So much. They really need the stimulation and joy from other children without parents. I sent my baby to nursery then took her out when I had my second for financial reasons and I'm noticing more and more she needs something more than just I can give her.

He had a lovely day, was full of smiles when I collected him, I just worry about him all day.
