Used a grocery delivery service that claims to deliver in 90 mins. It was supposed to have been here 45 mins ago and the driver just needs another ten mins Hmm Have already phone once and was polite; how long should I leave it and what should I say?

If they say 90mins, id wait another 15 then phone them - either cancel order totally if u need to go out, or request refund of delivery charge.

UrethaFranklin · 13/05/2017 15:24

I wouldn't phone yet, the driver has let you know when he is likely to arrive. I would wait and see if he turns up at that time and if not, then i would complain x

Are you paying a supplement for speedy delivery?

Do you urgently need the items?

EtonMessi · 13/05/2017 15:26

If it's not there by the time that ten minutes is up then yes, phone them.

Ask what's going on and do they actually plan to deliver? And how can you know for sure that they really mean it this time?

Have you already paid?

Soconfusedalways · 13/05/2017 15:38

Yes, I've already paid by card - it's a company called Beelivery if anyone has heard of them?

Now he is two mins away! Wtf - he's clearly not...

I don't want to call them a third time.

Stuck in house with illness and spent 20 quid on overpriced comfort food...

I'm so shit at confrontation and the girl sounded nice on the phone but this is ridiculous. I ordered at 12.30, told it would come at 2.45 and there just been making excuses for the last hour. I don't care if it's late, i just want an accurate estimation

Definitely demand a refund of the delivery charge.
