Just feel like everyone would benefit from me wearing this today.

Angry / Sad

I'm guessing it's safer best to agree with you.

Sorry you feel crap - not useful right now but I've discovered taking starflower/primrose oil was hugely beneficial for me. Both for physical and emotional effects. I don't even have to take it daily through the month - I take it from the 'sore boob' stage to 2nd day of actual period

Dianneabbottsmathsteacher · 12/05/2017 13:50

You are right on every subject op here have a Cake and a Wine Grin

Candlefairy101 · 12/05/2017 13:54

I was thinking of doing the same! I do actually right my modes on the calendar on our fridge 1) for me to keep track as I really need to start getting some help for PMS and 2) in case anyone wanted to know before they ask me aka fire breathing dragon but of course I'm the only muggins that looks at our calendar because I organise everything HmmConfused

mirime · 12/05/2017 14:01

I'll have one too. Though it's not actually here yet, it's due anytime and I'm also having a really shit day.

Everyone should probably just avoid me for the next 24-48hrs.

Kittencatkins123 · 12/05/2017 14:16

Okay I'm actually going to buy some starflower/primrose oil! My mood swings are savage (and good that it helps with boob ache!)

Thanks guys! Interest in 'period on board' badge has cheered me up against all odds! Smile begins letter to parliament

I'd be interested too

Miniwookie · 12/05/2017 14:24

I do warn my DH when it's my day of rage and unreasonableness. I also find it helps to be self aware that I am being a dick because if hormones rather than everyone around me is being a dick, which is how it feels!

Kittencatkins123 · 12/05/2017 14:40

Aunt Irma!!!! I'm totally finding that on YouTube

Yes, give up seat, avoid eye contact, keep three feet back at all times Grin

I just had to hide in the gym loos from someone I used to work with

Not strictly a badge to warn others, but the app 'clue' is great for monitoring periods. I've found it really helpful so I know when I'm gonna be 'touchy' and can take steps to address it, i.e. stash the chocolate in the drawer under the bed so no other f*cker can eat it!!

paddypants13 · 12/05/2017 15:06

< Lobs WineBrewCakeGinFlowers at op and retreats to a safe distance.> Wink

blackteasplease · 12/05/2017 15:12

I do let the unused, wrapped sanitary towels in my bag show for this reason.

Chewbecca · 12/05/2017 15:30

I had the rage so badly earlier this week, I was hysterical almost, crying about work stresses, gave myself the most cracking headache.

I was aware my period was due & that makes me cry but I refused to believe that was the cause of my rage.

Then yesterday, period started, rage 100% subsided. I feel like I've been a total idiot. I feel unstressed, calm, normal.

I'd hate my work colleagues to know that was the reason though as I think they'd then dismiss any of my ups and downs as being a woman & it wouldn't help me.

It is such a pain though, and getting worse for me at 44.

Beerwench · 12/05/2017 15:45

Should make it a rule that any woman wearing the badge is given Cake or Wine before approach. As in drop on nearest surface and retreat until the beast is somewhat pacified.
I know my OH and DD would appreciate the warning before I cry, shout and am totally unreasonable.
I seem to spend a week like this then 3 weeks going damage limitation and apologising for my shit behavior!

Incidentally does anyone have a salt craving when due? I'm not a massive crisp eater, can take them or leave them and like a bit of salt on my dinner but I really want salty food when due!

mirime · 12/05/2017 16:02

I crave pickled onion Monster Munch sometimes. Occasionally beer - well, malty flavours anyway, beer is easy to get and alcohol was medically recommended as being good for period pains by my GP Grin

Candlefairy101 · 12/05/2017 16:08

I ate 2 of the massive huge mega galaxy bars yesterday Blush I'm due this weekend.

Candlefairy101 · 12/05/2017 16:09

My face is sooooo spotty aswell! I can feel this is going to be a BIG period but hopefully I feel lovely by next week.

I'm on the verge of divorcing husband but I know by next week I'll be like a ramping rabbit Blush

Poor bloke Grin

Mollie85 · 12/05/2017 17:46

Totally relate - this was me on Wednesday.
Spent much of last night crying for three hours about everything terrible in my day to day life (there is nothing terrible about my day to day life) - just about calmed down, then went into the bathroom to wash my face and found a silverfish in my wash hand basin and lost it again and emailed "pest control" at 2am to come and sort out my "infestation"...

They called me back today.
They aren't coming Grin

I've just eaten a 120g CRUNCH bar. I feel better.

WateryTart · 12/05/2017 17:47

Chocolate, OP?

Kittencatkins123 · 12/05/2017 22:17

The immediate Cake or Wine rule is a winner.

Lol at silverfishgate!

I too get the very terrible rage. Fortunately this month it only came out in a really quite justifiable outburst about accent snobbery. So I feel reasonably proud of myself.

Just back home from a couple of bottles of £15 prosecco with work pals. I had a McDonalds on the train home. The 'period on board badge' will entitle wearers to said essentials for free.

Cake Wine Gin Grin

B vits are also helpful to ease pmt. I take wellwoman plus (has to be plus for the oil tablet as well as the vits) and it makes a noticeable difference.
