To think I don't need a hoover?

Ours has just broken. My lovely neighbour is happy to lend me one until I move to a house with wooden floors throughout.
Aibu to think sweeping is ok and I don't need to buy one?

How long til you move? A week ??? No worries. A few months. You could borrow a hoover.

Will you not have any rugs in the new house? I guess if they're small enough you would just shake them outside.

We have all wooden floors, and until we had a cat, we Just swept. Cat is too fluffy, now I have to hoover.
