So daughter got up this am with a few of these. Are they pox?

She has about 8 total and 2 parents apparently rang nursery after pick up to say they had chicken pox.

Shit!

That looks like the pox to me.

BikeRunSki · 09/05/2017 08:13

Are they mostly on her torso? That is where pox tends to start.

Fooshufflewickbannanapants · 09/05/2017 08:14

Yup. Oats baths can soothe itches quarantine until last spot scabs.
She may not get anymore one of mine had only a few spots one had eleventy million including scalp and fanjo others had everything in between.

chanie44 · 09/05/2017 08:16

op, you have my sympathies, having recently recovered from both my children getting them within two weeks of each other.

definitely chicken pox, my dd started off with just one on her eyebrow, within a few hours they were all over her belly, back etc , my 2nd dd got them a lot worse, I found Piriton worked wonders and put some porridge oats in an old sock or tights, tie to the bath tap and let the milk work it's magic. channie my 2 were 2 weeks apart too.

iwishiwasrichandthin · 09/05/2017 16:43

Just got home and she hasn't got anymore so am unsure if it is or not 😏

Don't dismiss pox just yet. DS had 3 spots in the Tuesday - then nothing, but stayed off nursery (I was on mat leave anyway) - until the Sunday, at which point they were popping out so much you could see them. Then he was ill for 5 days, then DD got her first spot 13 days after DS had got his, then they both got bronchitis.
