Okay so, the last few days I've been doing extra work, it's went from usual part time hours (25) to 45. It's between 2 different jobs.

I haven't called in sick in a year to one of the places, lets just call it A, and the other place I only started in in January (B) and they always ask me to come in on days I'm not supposed to be in, and I do come in no problem

In the B job i was asked on Tuesday to come in on Thursday (today) for a couple of hours as my colleague needed a day off (there is only 3 people working in the whole place which is fair enough) as she basically runs the place with her boyfriend (its a restaurant)

I feel really run down, going in at 9am then running home to get my work attire on for the next job, and I started having pains in my head/neck/ nose lastnight, woke up and it was worse, so i called in sick to both jobs.... aibu?

If you feel ill and not up to working then Yanbu, if you pulled a sickie when perfectly fine then yabu, there's no point being at work if you aren't able to function properly because of feeling ill. Hope you feel better soon Flowers

( I won't have any days off on the weekend so it's not like I'm being greedy, i'll be working all weekend 12-10 in total..)

I think it's better to rest up if you aren't feeling 100%, I feel for you working over the weekend, I will be working Saturday morning, I'd rather be in bed though Grin

If you're genuinely feeling unwell and you've called in sick to both jobs then YANBU. But you would be U if you had called in sick to one job in order to work the other one.

I know yeah RhodaBorrocks, I wouldn't of done that! would of been too paranoid my other boss would show up at the first job Grin i let him know that i'd called in sick to the both of them.

I called in sick today - first time in two years and felt bad for doing so even though I was washed out and woolly headed! Slept all morning, but just putting 1 load of washing in and spending 15 mins putting 4 small plants in the garden this afternoon when I thought I had pulled round has washed me out again (didn't think a trowel in sandy soil could have that affect!).
I know I did the right thing, but still feel bad even though I couldn't have work effectively. I think we're conditioned to keep going (hence the plants) which is daft as in the long run it builds up to far worse. Didn't help that xh always used to say the difference between name and him was he 'fought' it - no, I just collapsed at the end of the day whilst he took it easy and did bugger all around the house after his 8 hours in the office!!!!

I know I was right to call in sick
