DH has told me not too bother but I feel I should get him something. I have no idea what though as he's difficult to buy for. Any generic bloke present ideas (not liquid as flying) appreciated as I'm shit at stuff like this

First anniversary is 'paper', friends of mine have given books, letters and photo albums.
A personalised note book might be nice if he's a note taker?
Or a newspaper from your wedding day if you're into that kind of trash thing?

I got my husband a copy of the sheet music for the song we signed the register to. I photocopied it and cut it into shapes which I then framed. We're both quite musical and put a lot of thought into music for our wedding day so this song means lots to us.

I bought (paper) tickets to a show we both wanted to see.

I bought my husband a subscription to one of his favourite magazines for our first anniversary.

We decided to do traditional gifts every year so the first was paper.

I got him tickets to a show he's wanted to see for years and he (who put a lot more thought and effort in!) made a lovely photo album from all of the table camera photos we had, which until then had just been hanging around in a drawer.

I bought my husband a personalised notebook for his business.

He gave me money (paper) to buy whatever I fancied.
