To have a lazy day even though DH is here?

He's working from home, unplanned.

I had a fairly busy day of cleaning yesterday and then walked down to the shops this morning (to get something for him, incidentally). I'm knackered.

Other than the ongoing laundry, AIBU to have done fuck all else? I have made him toast and tea but I have this nagging feeling I should be all singing all dancing Queen of Housework today instead of watching telly and contemplating a snooze.

I've asked him and he laughed and said if I was being a whirlwind of activity he'd wonder if I'd had a brain transplant. Now I'm not sure whether that was sarcasm and I'm contemplating getting off my arse just to prove a point.

Aibu?

The fact he's there is irrelevant. Do whatever you would have done if he weren't.

Oh good!

'Cause I'm halfway through a box set and don't want to have to stop.

am laziness when my husband is home. It's my chance for a break and he does some bits and sees to the toddler while I get a nice long hot bath or chill for an hour. Granted it doesn't happen often but when it does its bliss.

Haven. It's bobbins but it's compelling.

The days of the wife/mother at home having to justify what she does in the day are long gone. It's no longer the 1950s.

Tell him you're being quiet to help him work.

DH is off today. I'm currently lying on the sofa while he entertains the toddling one. Bliss.

Thephoneywar · 03/05/2017 15:30

How do you have the time to do nothing throughout the day. Haven't you got things to be doing? I would be annoyed if I was supporting my OH to lay about watching telly.

Do what you want = lays about watching telly while your partner works.
