To ask if you felt pregnant?

11 weeks and symptoms gone (went last week). Couldn't feel less pregnant.

What did it feel like to you? Should I feel something or is it pretty normal?

Trickie03 · 02/05/2017 16:55

I had very very few symptoms on my first baby and haven't had any at all so far in this pregnancy (18 weeks)

ShoesHaveSouls · 02/05/2017 16:57

I had no symptoms at all in early pregnancy. Without a positive test, I'd have had no idea.

WeeM · 02/05/2017 16:57

I didn't feel pregnant in the slightest! The only reason I found out was because I had to take a test before getting medication. Never once had morning sickness.

DevilWearsPrimark · 02/05/2017 16:58

All of the pregnancy websites I've been on seem to acknowledge that at about 11 weeks, your symptoms like nausea and tender breasts seem to leave, and this can concern a lot of people because you might not have a scan for a couple of weeks yet.
Currently just past 11weeks myself but still sick, so no personal experience, sorry.

liz70 · 02/05/2017 17:06

Not with DD3. I went for my first scan at about 9 - 11 weeks. The measurements said 11 weeks, my dates said 9, and no way did she look 39 weeks when born - the paed assessed her at 37 weeks which tied in with my dates.

I really had no feeling of being pregnant at all, and went into the room half expecting to be told that I was mistaken, and there was nothing there. Grin

Sunshinegirl82 · 02/05/2017 17:14

It's quite common for symptoms to drop off at the 10/11 week point as the placenta takes over and the hormones balance out (for some although not all!

My nausea dropped off at that point too.

paddypants13 · 02/05/2017 17:16

I had barely any symptoms with my first, made dh buy more tests because I was sure I'd made a mistake!!! I only told hr and my line managers I was expecting and no one else at work twigged until I was over 20 weeks. That was only because I was a first aider and someone fell ill with a disease that can badly affect pregnant women.

44PumpLane · 02/05/2017 17:16

My symptoms all completely disappeared at 10 weeks- I went on to have twins!

OuchBollocks · 02/05/2017 17:17

With DD I felt like shit. With DS I felt nothing, to the extent that when I had a small bump I was surprised every time I caught sight of my reflection as I had genuinely forgotten I was pregnant.

KeiraKnightleyActsWithHerTeeth · 02/05/2017 17:17

My symptoms always (which are usually v full on) stop at about 10 weeks and I don't feel pregnant again until about 18 weeks or so.

weeblueberry · 02/05/2017 17:18

Not with my first because I had no idea what 'feeling pregnant' meant. But with my second, as soon as my back was aching to the point where I couldn't sit on my chair at work for longer than five minutes I knew I was pregnant. It was a very specific kind of back ache I've only ever felt in early pregnancy...

splendide · 02/05/2017 17:18

I never had any symptoms really other than the bump eventually.

buzzmoon · 02/05/2017 17:24

Oh that's good! ouch i keep forgetting too 🙈

I didn't feel pregnant really until about 20 weeks bar the morning sickness but I seem to remember the sickness dropping off around 12 weeks. 2nd trimester was glorious

haveacupoftea · 02/05/2017 17:29

I don't know what this mythical pregnant feeling is supposed to be. I'm 35 weeks and yeah I feel him rummaging around in there and my fanjos a bit sore and that but I'm not wandering around going 'I just feel so pregnant today'. Fair play to those people who say they just knew when they conceived because they felt different - I've felt exactly the same except a bit grumpier sometimes.

pasanda · 02/05/2017 17:31

I only had symptoms with my successful pregnancies. With the other 3 (all mmc before 10 weeks) I just knew it wasn't meant to be somehow. Even after seeing heartbeats. I remember being on holiday in the Lake District at 9 weeks and buying a pregnancy magazine which said something like 'pregnancy hormones will be flooding your body at 8 weeks'. I didn't feel like I had any, let alone a flood!

With my dc I felt fecking awful and threw up many a time and just knew they would 'stick'.

But, as this thread goes to show, everyone is different.

Best of luck

MrsMonkeyBear · 02/05/2017 17:31

14w with Dc2 and I've not felt pregnant since 7/8w. Only way I remember is the huge bump that I seem to have developed over the last 6 weeks.

Lonelymummyof1 · 02/05/2017 17:51

No symptons what so ever.
I never got a bump or ever felt her kick.

Funnyface1 · 02/05/2017 17:57

Didn't have a single symptom with ds, I remember seeing the midwife and worrying she would say I wasn't pregnant. With dd I felt nauseous early on then no symptoms at all by 12 weeks.

Jenwen22 · 03/05/2017 09:06

Firstly congratulations on your pregnancy 😊I was exactly the same. First trimester I felt sudden two second nausea twice though it passed as soon as it started, and sheer exhaustion. That was it. Vanished at 13 weeks. Second trimester no symptoms what so ever. End of second start of third bad indigestion and acid reflux, which I got under control by changing my diet and what time I ate ect. 40 weeks now and I'm just back to being exhausted. I even posted on here in my first trimester, as I was worried about my lack of symptoms lol and more xoncerned about what I should feel. Don't worry every pregnancy is different and just because its an easy pregnancy doesn't mean theres a problem, it just means youll be very thankful when you look back that you werent ill for 9 months. If you do have worries though, contact your GP or midwife to discuss it; but seriously don't worry. Just enjoy the fact your not lying in bed 24/7 ill xxx
