To expect to buy curtains in a pair!

have just received my order from Verbaudet, with what I thought looked like really pretty curtains etc, to my horror, I have discovered that I paid £25.99 for 1 curtain!so TBH I know have to decide whether to send the whole bedroom collection back as I was intending to do DDs bedroom or pay another £25.99. I am so mad

Is this usual for Vertbaudet? Thought having to buy pillowcases separate from duvet cover was bad enough!

Who just wants one curtain!!!!!

Most odd, i agree.

Saturn74 · 12/03/2007 17:59

Seems strange.
It might be worth contacting them to see if they will do you a super deal on the other curtain - they might if you have already bought the whole bedroom collection and are planning to send it all back.

Is it 6' long or thereabouts? If so, it could be classed as a door curtain. Or if it's a voile they usually come singly.

bubblicious · 12/03/2007 18:04

No its just ordinary length, have just looked on there sight and fair enought the desc does say curtain and not curtains, I suppose I shouldn,t have presumed!

Well most people would presume curtains come in a pair, bubble - I know I would!!

pinkchampagne · 13/03/2007 16:02

I will see if I can find you another Vertbaudet code, so you can order the other curtain!!

bubblicious · 14/03/2007 22:54

thanks pc, I still cant believe you only buy 1 curtain!

pc had a good £8 off any order plus free P&P the other day. I got dd a lovely new sheet for 99p! (oh, btw pc, my readybed came too and I got that for 99p too in the end as they fudged my order, so refunded my P&P costs!)

bubblicious · 14/03/2007 23:00

well, PC and I sat the other night and found loads of codes(got about £50 off using them) but to be honest Im still rather shocked that you only buy 1 curtain!

Try 3313, 3300, 3325, 4020, 6240. All found on another thread.

Aero · 14/03/2007 23:03

Here.

buttons123 · 14/03/2007 23:03

Not vertbaudet agreed, but, Mrs Buttons 123 did similar after long and painstaking decisions all round about colour sheme in living room, went to local shopping centre and came home jubilant about the bargain she got on the price of the curtains only too find out it was one not a pair so not such a bargin after all!!

Upsadaisy · 14/03/2007 23:05

Thats terrible...the cheap skates!

bubblicious · 14/03/2007 23:13

thanks for the codes, I will have to hunt out the paper that seems to be hidden at the mo, with all the codes on that I used! Some off them do seem pretty familiar1

OP posts:
bubblicious · 14/03/2007 23:15

actually what adds insult to injury is that what they describe as a tie back is actually just a piece of lined material with no hooks or anything at end

Pinkchampagne · 15/03/2007 16:19

Bonus about the 99p Readybed, Aero!!

I am fed up because my £2 pjs are out of stock, so I have now used up one of the good £8 off codes & not got anything to show for it!
Oh well, I will have to use another!
