To tell DP that he owes me a year and a half childcare in lieu?

He absolutely shit himself!

This after much arguing about how I haven\t contributed anything to the household since DS was born 2.5. years ago. The year and a half doesn?t include the time we would have spent with him anyway, just the time he needed me to be there so he could pursue his projects at work.

dont forget the 40 weeks you were pregnant as well! lol

monkeytrousers · 12/03/2007 16:38

We are splitting up BTW and he still expects me to forsake my own career for his when it comes to childcare.

You could be generous and just chrge him 50% as if you had returned to work you could have contributed 50% too???????

Tortington · 12/03/2007 16:47

from what i have read of your other posts your dp is an intelectual man. what is his resonse when you ask him who would have looked after the children and house management responsabilities?

i dont understandhow he doesn't understand iyswim?

monkeytrousers · 12/03/2007 17:56

I read recently about a lady who actually had a legal contract made for her husband to owe her money for every year she was out of work should they split up.

I agree 100%… how would they manage childcare if we didn’t stay at home while they progressed their careers???
