Feel like I'm in labour

AIBU to worry about the agony I'm in? All morning I've been getting what can only be described as labour contractions. When they come on there are disabling. An horrendous cramp which feels like my insides are being twisted - and then they go off. Each one lasts around 10 seconds and they're about 15 - 20 minutes apart. Awaiting call back from 111 but I'm really worried. I'm not pregnant.

IBS?

Scottishchick39 · 28/04/2017 08:28

I had this the one and only time I was constipated. It was so like contractions I was sure I was in labour.

Zhan · 28/04/2017 08:30

Yes that's what I'm thinking. A few years ago I was rushed into hospital with similar pains and it turned out to be an impacted bowel. I'm shitting myself (not literally) that this is going on again.

I had this four weeks ago- I was doubled over in pain and felt like I was having a baby. I rang my drs and was seen as soon as I got through the door. Turns out it was a cyst on my ovary that had cut off blood supply and twisted, I was put on the emergency surgery list and it was removed... Complete with Scandinavian blonde hair and teeth!! I'd say drs appointment, they thought it was appendicitis at first, id go get myself checked out if I was you Flowers

Yes, I was just going to say ovarian cyst that's twisted. Worst pain I've ever experienced.

urbanrock · 28/04/2017 09:00

Gastroenteritis? I was screaming in agony with it, it felt like labour pains. Ended up in hospital where they asked about 10 times if I was sure I wasn't pregnant!

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 28/04/2017 09:04

Yeah I had this, turns out I had a 15cm cyst on my ovary, it was the worst pain I've ever experienced, 10 times more painful than labour, even morphine didn't touch it.

Ikillallplants · 28/04/2017 09:07

Kidney infection? I collapsed in pain with one. It is the only pain I have had that matched labour.

Zhan · 28/04/2017 09:12

Funnily enough I have been getting short stabs of pain in my ovary area for a few weeks - very few and far between though

I had pain like contractions and were so severe I collapsed- I had a kidney infection.

Itscurtainsforyou · 28/04/2017 14:13

How're you doing OP? Hope they've managed to get to the bottom of things

isshoes · 28/04/2017 15:02

Also reckon ovarian cyst. I too had a 15 cm one, and when it twisted, I was wailing uncontrollably in agony.
