Boyfriend went fishing

Last night my boyfriend went fishing with his brothers at about 6pm he said he'd be back at 7am to get our daughter ready for nursery and he didn't come back. I had to stay in and not go out because we only have one key and he didn't come back. I rang him and he said he'd be back for 12 as he's only just woke up. This was at 9:30 and I had to go out by 10:30. I went out and made sure that I was back in time for 12 when he would be back & he didn't come back!! I rang again and he said he'd be back for 3pm now and he can't be bothered to walk so he is waiting for his brother to leave to give him a lift. It is a 15 minute walk btw. Our daughter had someone coming round to see her as an appointment for 4 and I had to tidy the whole house from top to bottom of his crap that he's not cleaned up then he still doesn't come back and misses the appointment. He still isn't back now and it's 5pm! I wouldn't mind so much but he does nothing, he doesn't work or anything he sits in the house all day on his PS4 and I have to come back everyday after being out and tidy up because he won't. I pay for everything for him and I picked up some food for him and bought him some bits today. Just feel as though he's taking me for a mug!!! So I hid his PS4 and games😂😂 fuming right now😡

Yeh ok.

LineysRun · 26/04/2017 17:06

He sounds awful

watchoutformybutt · 26/04/2017 17:06

Why'd you buy him stuff today when he didn't even come home?
Wise up.

livefornaps · 26/04/2017 17:07

You have 2 kids

IAmTheWorwax · 26/04/2017 17:08

You really believe he was fishing?
If my dh treated me like that he'd be out. So disrespectful.

Sparklingbrook · 26/04/2017 17:09

LTB

SumThucker · 26/04/2017 17:09

You're dating a 12 year old?

PeaFaceMcgee · 26/04/2017 17:09

Stuff outside door. Change locks. Jobs a good'un.

arethereanyleftatall · 26/04/2017 17:11

Why are you with him?

Ginmakesitallok · 26/04/2017 17:12

In fact given that you only have one key I wouldn't bother changing the locks. He's treating you like a mug

youngmummy3105 · 26/04/2017 17:13

He's usually fine and cleans up but when he's with his brothers he acts so differently! Yes I do believe he went fishing cause he told me to cancel the appointment and go up there to meet him. I didn't cause obviously our daughter is more important and I was mad at him anyway

Ok a strange set up. Stop letting him treat you so badly.

MrsPicklesonSmythe · 26/04/2017 17:15

So what exactly does he have going for him?
No bigger turn off for me than a lazy man. He sounds like a child.

HolditFinger · 26/04/2017 17:16

What's the point of him? It sounds like you've got an overgrown child on your hands. Does he actually make your life better in any way or are you just his second mum?

WhatALoadOfOldBollocks · 26/04/2017 17:17

Just feel as though he's taking me for a mug!!!

That's because he is. What does he actually do?

Stormtreader · 26/04/2017 17:18

Why on earth do you only have one key, and why did you let him take it?

user1471517900 · 26/04/2017 17:19

WhatALoad - he does a lot of fishing. :-)

Mrstumbletap · 26/04/2017 17:19

OP I'm confused you say he does nothing and doesn't clean up, then your second post your say he is fine and usually cleans up? Which is it?

I wouldn't be with a guy that doesn't work, does nothing but play computer games and doesn't do 50% of the housework. Whilst also being a bit irresponsible and lax with pre arranged times to share raising our child.

What does he bring to the relationship OP? How does he make life more fun, enjoyable, easier?

Collaborate · 26/04/2017 17:30

TBH given that he fishes for a hobby I'd have thought that good enough reason on its own not to be with him.

SparklyMagpie · 26/04/2017 17:33

You are a mug because you're allowing it and putting up with it!

hula008 · 26/04/2017 17:38

How did you go to the shops to get some bits for him if you couldn't leave the house without a key?

EweAreHere · 26/04/2017 17:40

Go look in the mirror, OP, to see what a fool being taken advantage of looks like.

kittybiscuits · 26/04/2017 17:40

There's only one key and you have it. Sounds ideal. Can you drop his stuff off somewhere so he has no reason to bother you?
