...to think my fitbit is a fibbit?

Today I've:

  • Mooched around our (small) house with a toddler
  • walked 2 x 100m(ish) between car and toddler group
  • climbed up and down a big flight of stairs
  • done a not particularly active toddler group
  • parked directly outside a shop and walked in to buy a couple of wee bits.

My fitbit is telling me I've done almost 5k steps. How is that possible?

Yes perfectly possible

You're probably using your arms a lot. Picking up baby? Adds anywhere between 10-100 steps. As does nappy changing. Stirring pasta. Picking up bags.

Better to wear it around your ankle - it makes it more accurate.

It's not long enough to fasten around my cankle. If I just put it round there and bring my sock up to hold it in place, will that do the trick, do you reckon?

Good tip, btw. I was grumpy yesterday when I realised it wasn't counting the steps I took while I pushed the pram.

Do you have a fitbit with changeable straps? If so you can buy larger ones from Amazon for £6. If not then I doubt you could make it work - they need to be secure around the skin to work
