That was until this year! I found LCHF and it's genuinely changed and saved my life.
I'm a huge huge foody, LOVE cheese and savory stuff but not much of a sweet tooth.
I've dropped my carbs down to 25g a day, fat is 70% of my caloric intake and protein is about 20%. I've lost 32lbs since new years day 
Best of all I'm never ever hungry and I'm eating like a queen.
Breakfasts is always a coffee with 60mls double cream
Lunches: salad with cheese and olive oil, antipasti meats and olives etc, cauliflower cheese
, smoked salmon, omelettes cooked in loads of butter with cheese
Dinners: Absolutely anything, just without the carbs. So regular meals are lamb shank with asparagus and a port sauce, belly pork, steak and stilton, chicken in creamy sauces etc etc.
The fat makes you feel satisfied and the lack of carbs keeps your blood sugar stable so you never feel hungry at all, the signal to eat just isnt there.
I've never enjoyed food more.
