So they've thrown us peons a dry bone whilst giving the rich and corporations a number of nice big tax breaks and reductions. It's 'trickle down' and 'supply side' economics all over again. It didn't work then, it won't work now. Oh, by 'didn't work' I mean it certainly won't help the middle class and will probably hurt the poorest among us. But that's OK. Because the 1% will make out like bandits and, after all, they're the ones who matter.
Oh, and experts have already said that interest rates will go up if this passes, so any tax 'reduction' for the middle/lower classes will be wiped out by higher consumer interest rates (bye bye property ladder!) and higher prices since businesses will claim they have to 'pay more in interest' for materials (despite a 20% tax cut) so they 'have' to raise prices.
