'Sold' something ( fairly large!) on facebook over 2 months ago and tried to re arrange collection a number of times / waited in for then but they didn't show/ respond to my messages so I ended up having to re sale it ... they are now angry because they now want to collect the item and can't understand why I didn't keep it for them well over two months later,

AIBU?

YANBU.

Crunchymum · 24/04/2017 17:30

Did you let them know you were reselling?

jumpingjellybeann · 24/04/2017 17:30

Told them that if they didn't respond to me soon that I would resale as I needed it gone.

VelvetThunder · 24/04/2017 17:32

Nope yanbu

jumpingjellybeann · 24/04/2017 17:34

Thankyou,

I was mad enough to keep it for as long as I did I think :/ but now they are very angry and giving me a hard time about it!

I am always selling things on Facebook / eBay and I am now worried that they will ruin all of my 5* reviews!

2 months?! If i sold something locally on fb etc I'd expect it gone and sold within about 2 days. You've been reasonable now tell them to fuck off.

leighb23 · 24/04/2017 17:46

They're a dickhead. Yanbu x

skippythebushkangarootoo · 24/04/2017 17:51

😂 nope yanbu! Not quite the same but a builder left a massive pile of bricks in my garden when he repointed and did gutter. I left them for a couple of months and then got rid- he turned up four months later asking for them 😂😂 erm, I'm not your personal storage facility....!

Jaxhog · 24/04/2017 17:52

YAB so NU. 2 months!

pluck · 24/04/2017 17:55

Oh, they're "very angry," are they? Sounds like someone can dish it but not take it.

Bunnyfuller · 24/04/2017 17:56

Tosser buyers on FB, just one of the reasons I've left FB. One woman got cross with me I wouldn't deliver to various places when ad clearly said collection. Too many mind-changers who then ignore all contact. And omg adverts saying 'Chester draws' who the fuck is Chester? And too many 'huns' I'm not your fucking Hun, you're a poorly educated chancer pissing me about. FB, ugh.

nursy1 · 24/04/2017 18:01

YANBU. I just put a couple of blinds up for free on our local bargains page. The buyer wanted me to deliver them. 5 miles away. I said no and gave them to next in queue. She was furious.
Some folks Eh?

I just hate it when prospective buyers do this. They twat about endlessly then are outraged when you eventually lose patience and sell it to someone else. So no,YANBU.

MovingtoParadise · 24/04/2017 18:03

They can't leave you a review if they didn't buy it can they Confused

jumpingjellybeann · 24/04/2017 18:05

They can't leave a review no, but they can ( and have) put a post about me selling the item to someone else on the selling site ' to warn' people about me :/ they didn't even tell them I have been waiting over two months for them to collect!

I just gave away a large piece of furniture on Facebook on a local page, clearly stating it was collection only from my house. Had loads of people asking if I would deliver (no offer of petrol money or suggestions on how I'd get a wardrobe-sized thing into my car) and one asking if I could hold it until the end of the month, then arrange for it to be couriered to Spain. People are a total pain in the arse on these pages. And so few people say please or thank you!

report to the admin of the page. Most admins keep a watch list. If they do it to too many people eventually kicked off site.

feathermucker · 24/04/2017 18:18

People on FB selling sites can be utter arseholes!!
YANBU.
