For expecting my SIL and Brother to say "Thank You" for getting some tickets to see The Police?

Surprisingly easily I got tickets to see The Police in October. Got 4 - my SIL was supposed to be doing the same. She couldn't get any and kept getting timed out whereas I got some - Hurray.

Rang her to tell her and her response was "I can now go and get my hair done!" No Thank You or when do you want paying etc. My brother hasn't even bothered to contact me. Their share is £150 and I have just gone back to work after being on maternity leave - so not exactly flush with cash!

Now if it was me I would be soooo grateful and say so.

Before anyone asks - if she had got tickets and therefore mine were spare I wasn't going to put them on EBAY for an inflated price - I would have sold them to someone who wanted to go for face value - can't stand touters!

So whaddaya think - classic SIL behaviour?

She should have thanked you at the time though.

plain rude if you ask me, I would have been really pleased excited and grateful and would have said so, and sent the cheque straight away.

why not sell them and tell her she didnt sound that keen, excited or pleased

Brother and SIL are such the takers in the family.

My sis once won a mountain bike - SIL was going to buy it off her - but wanted to try it out first - had it for soooo long 'trying it out'. Has never paid sis who gets paid next to nothing.

Think if I don't get any Thank you's this week AND cash - I'm going to tell them that I will be selling the tickets - that should get them moving - ungrateful b*stards!
