Friend asked to come over to mine an hour ago and to get a takeaway.

Since then I've heard nothing. Called and goes straight to voicemail.

I'm starving and want to cook some dinner

I would be worried about her. Can you go round to her house?

Beforethelastpetalfalls · 21/04/2017 19:15

Aibu if I just start cooking some dinner just for myself now?

OP posts:
ZaraW · 21/04/2017 19:16

I would make dinner.

BlondeBecky1983 · 21/04/2017 19:16

Her/him

EZA15 · 21/04/2017 19:16

Cook something and if she comes when it's cooked put it in the fridge for tomorrow? Or if she comes after you've eaten it tell her to order something for herself you've already eaten!

Oysterbabe · 21/04/2017 19:17

That is rude but it's still pretty early?

Beforethelastpetalfalls · 21/04/2017 19:17

She's moved back in with her dad so I only know the area and not street or number.

I'm not worried about her .. not in a cruel way but she's had form for doing shit like this to me before.

Beforethelastpetalfalls · 21/04/2017 19:21

Fuck it, I've started cooking now.

Felt like a right muppet just sat there waiting for her.

OP posts:
ChaiTeaTaiChi · 21/04/2017 19:25

Did she say WHEN? You don't mention that, which is odd when it makes all the difference.

unfortunateevents · 21/04/2017 19:39

Did she say she was leaving immediately? How far away is she from your house? Could she be waiting on a bus or stuck in traffic?

Screwinthetuna · 21/04/2017 19:41

It's still pretty early, didn't she mean when the kids were in bed? I'd be expecting someone around 8...

Beforethelastpetalfalls · 21/04/2017 19:46

why would she mean when the kids are in bed? She doesn't have children.

OP posts:
ChaiTeaTaiChi · 21/04/2017 19:50

You didn't answer the question Hmm

MiniCooperLover · 21/04/2017 19:54

It's only ten to eight on a Friday evening, maybe she's on her way and doesn't realise you're hungry? Have a snack and give her half an hour?

Reow · 21/04/2017 19:57

Did she definitely say 6pm?

Seems early for takeaway

Hope she's ok!

Screwinthetuna · 21/04/2017 20:08

Don't you have kids though? If one of my friends were coming round for a takeaway, they would always come later when kids were in bed and with a bottle of wine, etc

Beforethelastpetalfalls · 21/04/2017 21:56

No. Why does one of us have to have children? Confused

Wando1986 · 21/04/2017 21:58

Umm... the name is in the title of the website, OP.

Wando1986 · 21/04/2017 21:58

*clue not name. Bloody phone.

TrollTheRespawnJeremy · 21/04/2017 21:59

Although there's a lot of non-parents on here it's still presumed as the name is MUMSnet.

Smiler2013 · 21/04/2017 22:08

Which could mean mother to teens, people in their twenties etc.

bigchris · 21/04/2017 22:10

Did she turn up op?

Beforethelastpetalfalls · 22/04/2017 20:28

Umm... the name is in the title of the website, OP

Umm... you're very rude aren't you? I didn't realise you had to have children to post on here. I thought everyone was welcome. Obviously not.

WhisperingLoudly · 22/04/2017 20:37

Starting to see why your friend might not be too bothered coming over Confused

Ginkypig · 22/04/2017 20:45

What's your problem, your being very aggressive! I get your obviously pissed off at your friend but there's no need to be so rude to people.

You don't need to have children but most people assume that so take that into account when asking.

All you needed to say was no neither of us have children so that's not a factor.
