I purchased a car from a well known garage dealership last thursday and it was delivered to me from the dealer on friday morning. The car itself is in very good condition but it has a broken gear stick cover as the clips have snapped meaning when the gear changes the cover moves about. Garage seem to think i have caused this. However once the gentleman delivering the car drove it into the drive and apart from my dad reversing it to the top of my garden out the way of my kitchen door it hasnt moved given 1) the insurance starts on friday when i get paid and 2) having a provisional license i cant drive the car on my own. AIBU to think the garage should fix the gearstick cover?
