She is 8 now so a bit more independant but i stoll find ig hard to focus on anything adult that needs doing when she is awzke. Is it just me?

She has been off for 2 weeks ( as have i) and i have had lots of life admin to do ( job applications etc) and yet i havnt managed to focus on if at all.
She will settle in front of the tv and go to play with friends outside but im still "on duty".
I live doing family stuff but sometimes i need to do normal mundane stuff.
I need to go to the post box but dd is so tired and dosnt want to go so i cant even do that.

Using my laptop or reading a uni book can be hard as they want to see what im doing. But cleaning, cooking, reading a magazine/novel, gardening, shopping etc type stuff is fine. They can help, or play together, or come with me. It may take longer but still gets done.
Can you not just tell her you are going for a walk, and to get her coat on.
