To think I haven't got the job.

Hi everyone!

I applied for an internship abroad at the end of March (had to email my CV and a cover letter for this).

I was then asked to submit another task not long after this, with a closing date of 23rd March. The company emailed on the 23rd, saying that they would get back to me shortly, but I haven't heard anything from them since then.

I understand completely that the people looking at the applications will have to carry on with their regular responsibilities and work at the same time as assessing the applications, so that is something that I've been bearing in mind. I think it's just that I'm feeling more than anything that I'm less likely to hear good news as more time passes. Anyone around to please reassure me/tell me to get a grip? Grin

Thanks, everyone.

Have you sent a follow up email?

SorrelSoup · 11/04/2017 12:58

I think it's OK to email and ask now.

Thanks for your replies Cloudy and Sorrel :)

I haven't sent a follow-up email yet, so that's a really good point - thank you!

In terms of how to word the email, do you have any guidance or suggestions please?

I would write something like...

Further to my recent application to the xxx internship, I am writing to see whether you have considered my application.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely
Pample
