Iv got pre cooked ready to eat chicken tikka slices from asda in the fridge but the use by was 2 days ago would it be ok to use? If it was for myself I would probaly just eat it but it's for my dc so im unsure I don't want to make them ill. It's unopened.

I'm fussy like that, nope wouldn't eat it

If it's cooked them just trust your eyes and nose. If in doubt don't eat it.

I'm a bit gung-ho about expiry dates though.

originalbiglymavis · 06/04/2017 16:33

I wouldn't feed it to kids or pets though.

I wouldn't eat out of date meat. Much less feed it to my kids. You can't smell everything that could make you very ill.

Rainbow2017 · 06/04/2017 16:46

I wouldn't risk it with meat tbh

harderandharder2breathe · 06/04/2017 16:47

I really wouldn't. Especially not to DC and especially not when a strong flavour like tikka could cover up a nasty smell/taste

DonaldStott · 06/04/2017 16:49

I would probably eat it, but I wouldn't give it to the kids.

I was thinking it would probaly be a bad idea. Will just have to change the chicken for sausages. How does sausages, naan, rice and salad sound Grin oh well they will just have to like it or lump it.
