To think people aren't getting excited about devolution when still angry about Brexit?

Ok so Brexit is happening whatever we may think and clearly lots of threads on that.

What I find strange is the lack of interest towards devolution in the U.K.and no I don't mean Scotland.

I mean the combined regional authorities and the forthcoming mayoral elections. (West mids, Manchester, west of England, etc)

Surely this is MASSIVE? And will give a great deal more power to the regions than everything being controlled by London or dare I say Brussels?

Surely this is a good and exciting thing???

Think people slowly getting more interested in the West Mids and one candidate very visible however I am amazed by the amount of people who have no clue what it means for them or are even aware! Aibu to think this is important but people are too choked on brexit to notice?

I think most folk are choked, disillusioned, and fed up with elections, referedums, voting, Its like the Police Commissioner elections where most people don't care and even fewer could name their PC.
