To be slightly anxious with crying

My OH is away for a few nights and I am here alone with DD 1 year old. Every now and then she has a little cry and most of the time goes back to sleep.

She does this often, it seems more so tonight and it is making me on edge

Why do babies do that?

YANBU. My six month old does this sometimes and (awake) makes a variety of 'almost crying, but not really' noises that set my teeth on edge, then gives me a big smile when I look at her to see what's wrong!

I think the sleep crying is maybe a little bad dream or something?

Yes my OH reckons it's bad dreams or her just stirring because of all the things she did during the day. I am in bed now, hoping I can sleep !
