How to not be scared home alone!?

Let me start by saying I’ve never lived alone. Before I moved in with my DP in December I lived with my parents and sister, even when my parents went away there was always my sister to keep me company. I’ve only had one night at my parents when I was alone and even then, I had the dog with me.
My DP is going abroad with work tonight for a week and it will be the first time I’ve been at home alone overnight. My mum is coming to stay a couple of nights and I’m staying at my parents on Saturday but I will have 4 nights completely on my own. The rational side of me knows that there’s nothing to fear, we live in a nice area and have a house alarm so I should feel really safe, it’s just those noises in the night that scare me, I try to put them down to normal ‘house noises’ but sometimes my fear gets the better of me even when DP is there. We have no pets either. So AIBU to please ask you how to not be scared!

Sleep with the TV on?

We don't have a TV in the bedroom as there's no aerial in there. We haven't got around to it yet
