Inspired by "naff legging thread".
I've just discovered how comfy leggings are but I am a bit snobby about wearing them! I will only be wearing them with shorter dresses now that I no longer have nice thighs.Blush
I need thick good quality non shiny ones.
Any suggestions? I have a pair of phase eight ones that I wore as pyjamas and they were amazing. Went and looked I'm shop and they are totally different now.
Can you all let me know where you buy yours?

Sainsburys!

littlefrog3 · 27/03/2017 19:39

I get along just fine with NEW LOOK. £16 for 2 pairs.

Grilledaubergines · 27/03/2017 19:39

Mint Velvet did good Ines a couple of years ago - I'm sure they probably still do.

Or next/m&s

Just make sure you get the right size - too small and the Lycra thread stretches giving them the shiny effect.

H&M do a thick version, which have a kind of thin fleecy layer inside. Regular H&M leggings are shit, and go see-through really quickly, but these ones last really well. I am on the same pair from at least a couple of years ago. They cost about £12 I think.

Do you get luluroe in the UK? I LOVE them. ❤️

Sainsbury's luxury leggings - £10 a pair, not the ones that come in a 2 pack. They come up quite long - I'm 5'5" and need the short - but are thick and wonderfully high waisted.

Oldraver · 27/03/2017 19:49

Sainsburys, luxury model ones int he single pack. I have to size down, thye also come in different lengths

MumUndone · 27/03/2017 19:55

Dorothy Perkins.

I always buy Boden ones ( although I don't buy any other clothes from them). They are thick and last forever and never lose their shape,.

crazycadetmum · 27/03/2017 20:25

I agree with some of the others Sainsbury's model ones...keep their shape and nice material.

Another vote for Sainsburys Modal leggings. I am wearing some right now, no further endorsement is required.

River island though they come up a bit big so I go down a size .

Badgertastic · 27/03/2017 20:57

I've recently discovered Girlfriend Collective leggings and they are fab! Lovely high waist, thick and not shiny. Fantastically comfy and do not roll down. They have a website.

thrifttwig · 27/03/2017 21:13

Thanks all! I've placed a sainsbury's order and will check out other brands.

Another vote for Sainsburys luxury leggings! I've had a pair for ages and they are brilliant.

PingaPenguin · 27/03/2017 21:30

Tesco have recently started doing some really good leggings. Thick and don't go baggy at all. They are £12 a pair.

ShowMeWhatYouGot · 27/03/2017 21:41

Gap or M&S

thenorthernluce · 27/03/2017 21:56

Topshop - I always regret buying other brands, as Topshop leggings are thick, feel lovely and wash beautifully. I'm pregnant now and their maternity leggings are just as good. £12 a pop, IIRC. It's the only clothing I buy from Topshop.

Stansmith01 · 27/03/2017 21:57

Sainsbury's

ClarkWGriswold · 27/03/2017 22:08

Another vote for Sainsbury's. They saw me through two pregnancies.

FrogsLegs31 · 27/03/2017 22:12

Mint velvet with the ruched ankles are the only ones I like Smile

New look last the longest for me. M&S have really good ones but a bit pricey and scant on material.
