To be pissed off with DH?

DH can be quite opinionated and clashes with some political beliefs with a close friend of mine. I believe everyone is entitled to their view but he will say to me that my friend is wrong etc etc but I think he should just ignore it, she doesn't try to ram anything down his throat but does post a few comments on Twitter. Today she posted an innocuous comment and he replied with a crying with laughter emoji. He only just told me and I made him delete it because I think he's just publicly mocking her and should have just left it. He's saying I'm over reacting. AIBU to be annoyed?

Sounds like they are both really strong personalities and when you publicly air your views you welcome both praise and criticism... If your not like that as a person you can see it as goady and mocking but it her people welcome debate

I would be angry with DH in the OP's position, or at least if the person was much more my friend than his. If it were my friend it would be my shit to deal with or ignore. I wouldn't be impressed with my DH potentially making things awkward between us for the sake of looking clever on Twitter. If she hangs out with both of you and they're pretty close/are capable of having robust discussions already without hard feelings though, YABU. But only in that case.
