venting alert !!

This morning, with mother's day coming up, I saw yet another picture of breakfast in bed tray. It made me realise that's one thing I will not be having anytime soon. Mum to 3yo DD and 4months DS. On mat leave but sitting for exams and going for interviews while looking single handed after the above plus a nice loving but absent husband, supporting a friend going through a family crisis, planning an extension and other sh*t life throws at you.
It's life you might say. Adult life. Fine.
However, AIBU to want some appreciation? a nice gesture. something as simple as full night sleep and breakfast in bed.

YANBU because you sound exhausted.

But you don't need it on Mother's Day really, do you?

Have you sat down with your DH and explained you feel unappreciated?

Sorry, what I meant was, you sound as though you need more support all week round, rather than a specific day set aside for Mothers.

mother's day was the reason that picture came up in my emails. Not too bothered about it if I am honest. Any day would do :)

I am no good in conversations and tend to become emotional. I think I might write him an email. Thanks technology :)
