Dss said to a boy at school how fat I called me obese. This boy is a mutual friend of my dd who told me. Aibu to feel really hurt by this, I had a baby a year and half ago and have struggled to bounce back. Feeing a bit insecure today.

FlowersFlowers stay strong I'm sure your Beautiful. This is a case of things best not told to others.

Littleballerina · 19/03/2017 17:40

How old is dss?

Italiangreyhound · 19/03/2017 17:48

Dss (dear step son?) Please tell him how rude and unpleasant this is. Word got back to you and you are offering offended.

Obese is usually used in medical terms and presume he is not a doctor! If he speaks about others like this he could end up in trouble!

Italiangreyhound · 19/03/2017 17:48

And you are offended.

Lilaclily · 19/03/2017 17:49

Also tell dd not to shit stir !

Seems like a weird thing to come up in conversation.

YANBU, if it offended you as you can't argue a feeling. Is your offence that he called you it or that you're frustrated you can't shift the baby weight?

BackforGood · 19/03/2017 17:53

How old is dss?
Seems a weird thing to be talking to a mate of his about Hmm
Why would your dd tell you that ? How nasty of her.

JuicyGem5 · 19/03/2017 17:55

He is 13 my dd is 14 but they are the same year. He was having a rant about me to his friend but didn't realise his friend also is friends with my dd so he told her and she told me.

JuicyGem5 · 19/03/2017 17:56

Sorry cross posted!

BoneyBackJefferson · 19/03/2017 17:56

Are you really sure that he said it?

It is unpleasant etc.

but your DD heard it from her friend etc.

Dumptrump17 · 19/03/2017 18:00

Yes I'm sure he said that and dd was really upset and told me. I told her not to say anything. He is 17 years old.

ThreeLeggedHaggis · 19/03/2017 18:00

I would ask your partner to talk to him about it.

And I would talk to my daughter, who really shouldn't have told you.

user1469914265 · 19/03/2017 18:18

Nice sock fail there...

SlothMama · 19/03/2017 18:18

He's old enough to know how hurtful his comments were, tell him that it's unacceptable!
Or ask your partner to speak to him

armpitz · 19/03/2017 18:20

It's really unpleasant but I wouldn't get too worked up over it.

My weight fluctuates. I've had kids call me fat before and I rarely react. Just grin and say 'yeah, I know!' Shuts em up Grin

stitchglitched · 19/03/2017 18:20

JuicyGem are you the OP? Your DSS is 16 on your other thread.

ClopySow · 19/03/2017 18:20

Is he 17 or 13?

JuicyGem5 · 19/03/2017 18:23

No no I googled a thread about a similar thing and copied and pasted it by mistake. It was an error no I'm not op honestly I know it looks weird .

BoneyBackJefferson · 19/03/2017 18:23

So what do you want the outcome to be?

and being devil's advocate

what are you going to do/say etc if/when he denies saying it?

TheSnowFairy · 19/03/2017 18:23

Dumptrump / Juicy posting answers on your own thread Hmm

gamerchick · 19/03/2017 18:23

Kimlek · 19/03/2017 18:53

KateSMumsnet · 19/03/2017 18:54

Hullo everyone,

Thank you to those who reported this thread to us - we've had a wee look and it does seem like there's something amiss with the OP, so we're going to take the thread down.

gamerchick · 19/03/2017 19:13

It means someone using another account to pretend they're a different person to back themselves up/argue with themselves
