Can I attach documents to private messages on here?

Hi everyone :)

Sorry about the rubbish AIBU - just posting for traffic (hope that's okay!)

I'm trying to send a private message on here and was hoping to attach a Word document to the message. There doesn't seem to be a way of attaching documents to private messages on here though - is it just that I can't work out how to do attachments, or is there no way of including attachments to PMs here?

Thanks everyone :)

No - you can't.

word documents often have personal details embedded in them anyway so better with c&p text in the PM.

Thanks Fru and Mermaid :) I'll try and put the full text from the Word document into the PM :)

No you can't. Can you put the word document in the cloud somewhere (eg Google drive) and send the link in a PM.

Depends what the document is but I am pretty sure most/all of the formatting will be stripped when you C&P into a PM.

Thanks ItsAllGoing, I'll try that and see how it goes :)

It's easier to swap email addresses and attach the document to that.
