Ok I'm old, fat and straight so technically speaking there's nothing for me here but I'm addicted to it!!! Anyone else have this same bizarre taste?!

I love Project Runway as I think the cast knows what they are getting in for. They tend to be older and just looking for some publicity for their clothes. I find ANTM quite exploitative really. The contestants are really young, often poor and they really think being on the show will change their life. The challenges are just set up to make them fail and look stupid on TV, nothing about learning how to model. It just doesnt sit right with me. And also Tyra often chooses models to make a point rather than any really belief that they could actually be models in the real world. I used to really love it though.

Has anyone noticed it's sometimes possible to figure out who's going by the editing of the show. Without fail if one of the girls says 'I know I am a top model' or 'I'm destined to win' in the asides to camera, they always get eliminated. I've noticed for a few seasons. Still love it though.

I miss the days of Nigel and the Jay's though.

YADNBU - it is fantastic (I have loved them all - including Rita). Favourites are any with Miss J! It was my dirty little secret until Mark Gatiss said it was his too - I don't know why but it felt sufficient to justify watching to DH!!!

I’ve just discovered RuPaul’s Drag Race which is in a similar vein. And I love it. I did use to watch ANTM but don’t have the channels anymore.

Also love how the current shoot director just screams at them when they’re doing a horrible job and actually doesn’t point them to how to make a good shot.

I really like the American one. I think the Aussie one is boring.

I can't stand Liz on this one, she's so annoying!!

I love the restyling hair episodes, you can guarantee some poor girl will have her hair all cut off and be in tears.
