Yes.

MrsJayy · 07/03/2017 20:15

Anyone else what ?

Lilaclily · 07/03/2017 20:16

Yabu

Trills · 07/03/2017 20:16

I am not exactly "excited" about any wedding.

Being pleased for someone and thinking it is nice - whether they have children is irrelevant.

NotStoppedAllDay · 07/03/2017 20:16

I don't get excited about weddings full stop!!

acquiescence · 07/03/2017 20:16

Yabu! My best friend is getting married this year to her long term partner. It is lovely, the children and involved and it makes it all the more special.

Are you religious or just very traditional and think that marriage should come before procreation?

AlmostAJillSandwich · 07/03/2017 20:16

So you expect everyone to get married before having a child, and that weddings are solely intended as a promise to have children?

I personally love it when people who have kids together decide to get married. They've done one-off the most stressful, exhausting, relationship-testing things and still want to spend the rest of their lives together - what's not brilliant about that?

Dontactlikeyouknowme · 07/03/2017 20:17

I'm sure they don't care whether you are excited or not.

Mamabear14 · 07/03/2017 20:17

I was going to type a ranty answer but I'm just going with YABU.

LaContessaDiPlump · 07/03/2017 20:17

A bit. But I paste a smile on and act excited for them, because that is the nice thing to do and they'd be a bit crestfallen if I didn't treat their life event like the big thing it is.... to them.

Trills · 07/03/2017 20:17

It sounds as if you have a particular vision of what a wedding "should" be.

MadMags · 07/03/2017 20:17

Anyone else...???

JCo24 · 07/03/2017 20:17

What?
So you only get excited about a marriage if there is a chance of children happening afterwards? Are you usually so concerned about the aftermath of people engaging in coitus?

Bambambini · 07/03/2017 20:18

It's not the same if they have been living together for years and have kids. Still happy for them and happy to celebrate the occasion though. Been to a very small simple wedding like this and it was lovely.

EssentialHummus · 07/03/2017 20:18

I agree with pigs actually. Plus I'm a sucker for a good party.

kenology · 07/03/2017 20:19

Eh?

Either you get excited about weddings or you don't, surely whether they already have children has nothing to do with it?

Dontactlikeyouknowme · 07/03/2017 20:19

I'm always excited for a party.

kel1493 · 07/03/2017 20:19

I would be happy for a friend getting married, regardless of if they have children or not.
Personally I wanted to be married before I had children, but I don't think it matters either way generally. It's just what I wanted

MrsJayy · 07/03/2017 20:20

I had a child before my wedding people came smiled had a nice day and went home likeall weddings go

Honeyandfizz · 07/03/2017 20:20

Nope just you.

scoobydooagain · 07/03/2017 20:21

can't say I get excited about any wedding, nice for the couple but really that's about it.

Bigbertha123 · 07/03/2017 20:21
