To ask for ideas for a wet Sunday morning

Baby, who doesn't nap much and wants to move and toddler. Car in garage. Dh away with work. Have already been up for many hours and trying to think what to do all day.

Plan was lazy morning, then playground and back for lunch.

But, It is absolutely tipping it down so even with wellies would be soaked at playground within minutes.

So MN inspire me please

Yanbu to ask but no idea stuck in with two tinies sounds hard. We are a bit the same but at least DCs are a bit older. Have a Brew take each minute at a time.

How anti-religion are you? If you're in a city and can find a modern looking church they'll often do kids work that you can leave your children in! And good coffee (phone just autocorrected that to 'God coffee').

Have already made pancakes built a den, Lego and playdoh!

I feel your pain. We've been up since 4 and my ingenuity has run out. DH hasn't got back from night shift yet and will then sleep til mid-afternoon so I'm on my own for hours yet. We are currently eating cake for breakfast and the novelty factor is amusing DS hugely, but after that I have no idea what to do with him.

We used to take the cushions off the sofas and they'd do belly flops off the sofa on to them.
Play all your favourite music videos on YouTube and dance.
Day time bath with lots of bubbles and toys.
House work together?

Raincoats wellies brollies and take them out in it for a bit - baby none the wiser toddler will love it!

extra long bath with loads of bubbles
playdoo if you don't have any make some
painting if you can stand the mess
put on some music and just dance to it, good way of getting exercise as well

If you have already done everything - then get some toys out, make a coffee sit on the sofa and leave them alone.

After a ltitle while they will find something totally instructured to do - play. You do not have to do something with them all the time and you do not need to interfere at all unless it becomes dangerous.

Sounds like you are trying too hard - you will probably have a huge mess to clear up later but chill out and leave them to it.

Cesar - that's it really . Just need to muster some enthusiasm to be on all day, and then do it all over again tomorrow

We used to put wet weather gear on and go splash in pubbles or go to the beach and play.

Obviously the latter you can only do if you are within walking distance to the beach...

I agree... Put all the toys out and let them play. DVD?

Or basin with shaving foam and toy trucks- messy play.

Bath would amuse them for a good thirty mins.

I am somewhat in awe of you! I remember the days of two littlies and I'm afraid the TV was on quite a bit on wet days that started at 5.30am Blush

I'd get dressed and go to the shop - even if it's 5 minutes away.
I always find going out in the cold/wet makes me glad to be home afterwards and I don't feel trapped anymore!

Swimming is good for a rainy day if you can get there. Hopefully wear everyone out ready for a movie afterwards.

Just leave them for a bit. You're a parent not a CBeebies presenter or Kids party entertainer. You don't need to be on all the time.

However my one of the best things I invested in for my kids is really decent rain wear, dungarees, jackets and lined wellies. We go to the park in any weather but be warned the waterproofs turn them into rockets on the slide!

I used to let DD play with bits of dried pasta and spaghetti - lots of different sized tuppawear boxes and different sized jugs or cups and she'd spend ages just pouring them in and out. I also used to add play doh to the mix and then she'd enjoy making playdoh buns using the pasta for decoration. Very little time to set up and clean up.

We also used to put music on and bounce on the bed. Or play musical statues/chairs/bumps.

Make an obstacle course from all the cushions.

Decorate a big cardboard box if you have one. We also had rolls of really cheap plain wallpaper that DD could use for some reason this was way more interesting than normal paper.

Also Netflix Grin

Not helpful but so so glad mine re grown up! Two won't get up until lunchtime and one lives with bf. Life gets so much easier when they are older.

Films? We have been up since 5.15 and that's all we have done so far. If I can find non leaky shoes we shall get some fresh air later even if it's only down the road and back.
